Every day at least a dozen flying creatures mistake the pool here for a fresh body of water, or perhaps don't see it at all and try to fly into its depths. They usually end up in the filter baskets and we throw them over the fence. Not all of them become ant food, however. The larger ones often dry out, shake off the effects of the bromine, and fly away.
